New Ip for g350/8300

I have a branch site moving in a few weeks and will need to put a new IP on their g350/8300. I've found some info on here on how to do that via Telnet but just want to make sure I am doing this correctly via the Web menu.
I am to run through the Maintenance Web Interface, Server Config, Config Server and change the IPs in there to the new subnet.

Do I need to change anything anywhere else?

Well brianCFCU, that is how you do it, the only problem you will have is, since you are probably accessing it via the LAN, you are going to lose connectivty to it. The best way to do this is to connect to the service port on the S8300 blade, which is at 192.11.13.6, set your PC or LAN interface to 192.11.13.5/31, and do it from there, since you won't get disconnected.

If you have a PC onsite with a 2nd ethernet interface (or jsut get a cheap USB ethernet interface, which is what we do), that you can RDP or PCAnywhere to, setup the 2nd interface for that, and connected an ethernet crossover (reversing) cable from that port to the services port... thats the best way to do it.

You'll also need to change the IP of the G350, and you can also do that via the web browser to 192.11.13.6

Also, if you need to change the default gateway, or anything else, you can do it rremotley via the method I jsut described, since you are on a different interface than what you are changing.

I would nvram the box before entering the new addresses, I have had issues in the past when changing addresses on gateways

Mitch, thanks for response. My plan was to log in after hours the night before they move, put in the new IPs and then next day move it to it's new home. No one is on site after 5 pm so if it isn't working until it gets moved the next day there is no impact to the organization. Do you think using the web interface would be ok in that given scenario?

NVRAM initialized the gateway, like it was new out of the box.. clears out everything.

Well, let me ask you this: Do you have a dialup to the USB modem on the S8300 at that site? If you run "configure server" that way, you can get it all done, and you won't lose connectivty to it, since you are not using the LAN.

If you are changing the G350 IP as well, you might just want to run through the AVAYA Installation wizard, which will take you trhough setting up the Gateway's IP's as well.

Good idea, I do have a dialup modem on that for our Maint. Vendor, so I'll give that a try first.

If I have issues then I'll just use the info you gave me for when I'm on site the next day. Thanks much!

You should be able to change your ip address on the s8300 remotely and if the routes are on your network, telnet to the new address. From there just go shell of if you are in shell just telnet to 127.1.1.11 and nvram init the 350. Then telnet to the 83 go shell and telnet again to 127.1.1.11 and rebuild the 350.

Well I was able to re-program the IPs on the 350/8300 but it won't register to the CLAN.
I changed LSP and Node-names on the 8500 side, I also changed the ip-network-map so that the phones would register in their proper region. Is there anything else I need to change on that side?
Phones are up so I'm really just needing the 350 to register so I can utilize the analog ports.

You need to put in the correct IP route.

Did you set your Default Gateway? The G350 may not be able to get to the CLAN... You can telnet to the G350, and try a "ping x.x.x.x" (The IP of the CLAN), if it doesn't work, you don't have yur default gateway set properly, most likely

I jumped the gun. I assumed it was something I did since this was the first time I had done the IP changes but it wound up being our Network group missing some settings on the switch port the 350 was plugged into. As soon as they resolved that it came right up. Thanks!
