Hello ,

I have a laptop where there is a German version of Windows XP home Edition installed . I want to install English Version of WINDOWS XP home edition on it .

What are the steps I should follow before installation ?

I want to retain whatever that is installed currently .
The modem drivers , the DVD ROM player drivers , display drivers and so on ...
Will the other directories which has been pre-installed along with Windows XP German HE will be affected ?

Any suggestions to this please ?
The laptop is toshiba with Celeron 1.2 GHZ and 256 MB RAM .
20 GB HDD .

Thanks

I wouldn't worry about the drivers. Windows XP will likely find them all. In my opinion the best idea is to delete the current partition, recreate it, then format and continue loading Windows XP. All this can be done with the Windows XP CD during the setup process.
