Hi Guys,

Im new to Panasonic so be gentle.

i have a NS700 with KX-NT680 handsets. im using Gamma converged SIP lines.

I dont seem to be able to take incoming calls to the system but i can make outgoing calls.

i also cant record a message for the main huntgroup. we dont have a SD card installed for VM as it is a small site. (5 handsets and a night mailbox)

any ideas what/where i've went wrong?

Thanks

Hi,
First of all what are you doing router/firewall wise?
Need to make sure you are forwarding signalling port (35060 by default on Panasonic, I usually do a port redirection on firewall from 5060->35060) to PBX and media ports (16000-16511 I believe) to DSP card - if using the Gamma Cisco router they will need to do the configuration for you, good luck with this, they are a nightmare and usually take a few attempts to do it correctly,
Also make sure you have your DDI table setup correctly with the full 11 digit number.

for voicemail - are you wanting a shared mailbox for the users onsite for night service?
If so i'd recommend making a portable station, forwarding it to 591 (Panasonic SVM voicemail no by default) then set up a passcode for the portable station, from a handset then dial *47 , enter extension then pin for portable station, then dial *38 then 1 to record. Press "Store" to save the recording. You can then use this extension number in your DDI table for night service.

Thanks

Hi, Im using Gamma Converged broadband. So i'll need to suffer with Gamma support. Can you advise what i need to ask for?

On the NS700 > Site Property i have 15060 as the UDP Port No. for SIP Extension Server. see below

For voicemail. they want a button on a handset that they can press to send calls to a message to say they are closed and to leave a message then for those messages be accessed by all users.

What you have looks okay
You need to get the gamma router reconfiguration forum
Do you have an email address or something I can send you stuff on?

@CMUK - Thanks for your help.

we got this issue resolved. we finally got through to gamma and got the correct ports forwarded. they said that the forwarding was already in place but i'm sure they wouldn't have known our DSP address?! We used the PSTN Line number of the SIP Line for SIP username and Authentication ID in the SIP GW port property settings. i had this programmed as the customer main number that was ported to the SIP trunk... lesson learned.

The voicemail instructions you gave were perfect so thanks for that too!! [thumbsup2]
