I need to build a new Symposium server as a cold backup to the primary. I do have the Server Application CD v04.01.07.
I got a blue scree during my first install atempt, do I need to install an older version and upgrade, or should I be able to install from the 04.01.07 application CD?
Thx!

Would have to be, with Release 4.01.07 -- maybe that is why the blue screen? It is only compatible with NT 4.0 Server.

dars3323, that is an old release. After that came 4.2, then 5.0, and now we are waiting for 6.0 coming out before the end of the year. It was manufacture discontinued April 30, 2004, and was end of life as of December 31, 2004.

Suggestion you upgrade your 4.0 server to 4.2. The keycode is the same. 4.2 is easy install and configuration than 4.0.

Thank you all for the replies, Yes I was planning an install on NT 4.0. I do not have a copy of the symposium 4.2 application, and we are installing 4.0 to avoid the upgrade cost with going through our vendor. (I'd really prefer to use w2k server)
Is there a copy of the 4.2 application out on the Internet?

Although the keycodes are the same, Nortel does charge for the right to use the 4.2 software. I don't believe it is a large fee, however, they don't just give it away (to my knowledge).
