Is there any way of adding New Icons on the Accpac environment, right now to add some macro or program or report you have to right click\new\program and then configure the shorcut with command arguments etc.

can we do it programatically?

auch! NO? Not even with a macro?

So if you have a new report to add, you need to go computer by computer to add it?

Or check the little box that says All Users, or copy the relevant \Site\User\xxxxxx\*_c.ism file.

All users checkbox means All users on that computer? or any user thats logs in accpac on any computer?

i was just looking at the
C:\Archivos de programa\ACCPAC\USER
folder

and there are several folders, i noticed one say
C:\Archivos de programa\ACCPAC\USER\_EVRYONE

if i copy That folder to every computer, that'll add the icons i addded and chack for all users?

No, you cannot edit the files.
No, you do not copy the files to every computer. These files should be located centrally on a server on the Shared Data folder.

how do I tell ACCPAC the location of the _EVRYONE folder ? to be used instead of the local one?

Accpac uses the folder located in the Shared Date folder, click Help, System Information in Accpac and you will see where your Shared Data is pointing.
Question: is this a stand alone install or do you have a number of Accpac workstations connected to a server?
What is your Shared Data folder?

The shared data folder is pointing to a local folder, so i guess it is pointing to the same directory on every computer
acctually is pointing to c:\program files\accpac folder

We have several computers. and one mssql server

the computer knows where to connect through the odbc.

we set the companies with the database setup wizard

No wonder there are so many issues on that site, Accpac is not setup correctly. You must have one shared data folder on the server and all Accpac workstations need to point to the same shared data folder.

Thank you for your reply, would you be so kind and point me to some guide on how to set up accpac the right way?
is there any installation guide?

best regards
