New HP drivers for 970cxi and win2000K

We are having a problem with the Apr2001 drivers from HP. Even uninstalling the printer and all hp* files in win2000 (winnt) and rebooting then installing the drivers (either the home set or the corporation set) results in a complete lockup when the computer is rebooted. Anybody else encounter this problem?
