new HDD & Video card

Hi,

I want to buy a new HDD and a video card.What I have:

AMD Athlon XP, 1666 MHz (12.5 x 133) 2000+
Matsonic MS8137C(+) (5 PCI, 1 AGP, 1 CNR, 4 DIMM, Audio)
VIA VT8366A Apollo KT266A
ID Platform CFh (Socket A)
BIOS Award Modular (01/18/03)

1.How can know if a knew if HDD or video card is supported by BIOS(for example a 160 GB HDD) ?
2. I have an old camcorder woth only AV oupput. What must I buy to transfer videos on my computer ?

Should be in the manual or on the company web site. Most newer boards (ie, four years old or less) support large drives. And you can partition.
