Hi All--
So I have a Laserjet 3150xi connected with the software installed, and it prints and faxes fine. Everytime I restart, the "found new hardware" wizard comes up. I'm working in Windows 2000, have tried reinstalling the printer and software, updating the driver, etc. to no avail. Like I said, everything works, but the NHW coming up all the time is annoying. Any other suggestions out there? Thanks so much!

First, make sure that you have the most recent drivers from HP for your
printer.
Go to the Printers folder and remove the printer.
Go to Control Panel, Add/remove programs and remove any software for the
printer.
Exit Windows and shut down your computer.
Turn off the power to the printer.
Boot the system and run the setup for the printer from the manufacturer's
installation files.
If prompted to connect the printer during the installation, turn on the
power at that time. If not prompted to connect the printer, then after the
installation, Exit Windows and shut down your computer for a few seconds,
then turn on the power to the printer and boot up. You should not get the
Add new hardware wizard appearing at each boot after this.
