I just recently started working with Novell OS. I am going to be adding a new tape drive (SCSI) to the server which is installed on a Dell Poweredge Server. Once i install the SCSI card and tape drive, aside from then installling the Drivers, are there any issues i should be aware of? First time installing with Novell.

THANKS!!

Your SCSI adapter should "auto-detect" and let you install your driver if it isn't already there. As for the tape drive, you will probably need to load nwaspi in order to let your tape software see it, but other than that, all should go fairly smooth. Good luck!

Depending on backup software may also require nwtape to be either loaded or sometimes if it autoloads it needs deleting from startup directory(Veritas will delete it for you on install.) Lee Smith
