1 Scope
This document gives a brief summary of changes from ASB 501 04 R8 (BC11) to ASB 501 04 R11 (BC12) regarding features, end user procedures, capacities, and operation and maintenance. This PRI only mentions some of the HW changes, see 5.1 Hardware for a complete list.

The changes could be summarized like this:

ACD Enhancements :
Several market specific ACD features are generalized in this release. Validation of PIN code during ACD agent logon is included.

Call Information Logging Enhancements :
Several Call Information Logging features which were existing in specific Markets are generalized in this release. CIL is extended to cover Logging of failed calls i.e. calls to vacant numbers and busy parties are covered. New condition codes are introduced to the existing ones.

CAS Trunk Adaptations :
Several CAS MFC-R2 features applicable for TL 30 trunks of different markets have been generalized. The features can be enabled using Operation and Maintenance commands.

Charging Enhancements :
Enhanced Charging, different charging models are introduced. Forced disconnections for outgoing calls (Limited call duration/Cost)

Collect Call Blocking for Brazil :
Collect Call Blocking feature is enhanced to provide the charging information to Called party. Also Call Information Logging is provided for CCB calls.This features is mainly used for Brazil market.

CSTA Interface Enhancements :
Full monitoring of generic extension is supported. Call logging of extensions through the CSTA events reporting, for incoming calls, for traffic cases such as Diversion, Deflection, SST and Rerouting.

DBC 225, new telephone
The new telephone DBC 225 has been introduced. This new telephone has for example a large graphical display and top menu buttons.

IP networking , a new type of trunk that provides multimedia communications between the ASB 501 04 and other H.323-compliant systems over IP network. The standards H.323, H.225.0 and H.245 are supported.
ISDN Trunk Adaptations :
Several ISDN features which were existing in several markets have been generalized.

Networking :
Support to the ISO QSIG Message Segmentation.Support to the ISO QSIG Call Offer without Path Retention, and ISO QSIG Call offer with Path Retention

Operator Service Enhancements :
Several Market specific Operator related features have been generalized in this release. Automatic Operator feature is generalized to bypass the workload from operator for incoming trunk calls with incomplete number or just DID number.

Recorded Voice Announcement and Music on Hold Enhancements :
RVA and MOH features are generalized in this release by integrating different features existing in previous release in several markets. Welcome and Continuous announcements can be initiated for Individual extensions. Vocal guidance feature is generalized to provide announcements to the calling user about success or failure of any feature activation.

Remote Extensions Enhancements :
Fast through connect and CLIR are supported.

Service and Maintenance (SAM) Enhancements :
The regeneration function has been upgraded to comply with ASB 501 04 R11 changes.

2 Features
This clause lists the major changes of features, including extension-, PABX operator-, external line-, network, system-, and data communications features.

2.1 Comment regarding MAAS
Beneath most features there is a sentence with reference to the BC11 market unique function.

2.2 ACD Enhancements
2.2.1 Change Congestion for busy on full ACD
This feature allows to provide busy message instead of congestion message for call from public trunks to an ACD-group, when all agents are busy and the queue is full and no diversion is active for the ACD group.

The feature is generalization of the market uniq ue function MX-1001.

2.2.2 Check PIN code during ACD agent logon
This feature allows the validation of PIN code during the ACD agent logon. The PIN number entered by ACD agent during logon procedure is normally not checked against the PIN code programmed in the AO database. This feature allows the ACD agent to logon only if the PIN code entered is programmed in the AO database.

The feature is generalization of the market uniq ue function BR-4.

2.2.3 Silent Intrusion Upon ACD member which has made an outgoing call
This feature allows an ACD supervisor position to make a silent intrusion upon a busy ACD member when an outgoing call has been placed.

Meaning and default values of PARNUM=100 are changed.

The feature is generalization of the market uniq ue function AR-11.

2.2.4 Intrusion with or without tone for ACD supervisor
This feature allows an ACD supervisor position to have the ability to monitor any ACD agent with call in progress, with or without the Intrusion warning tone.

Meaning and default values of PARNUM=100 are changed.

The feature is generalization of the market uniq ue function SP-4.

2.2.5 Deflect calls from ACD queue when the last ACD agent becomes unavailable
This feature allows to deflect calls from an ACD-queue to the diversion position defined for the group, when the last ACD agent becomes unavailable.

2.2.6 Allow more overflows for ACD
This feature allows to increase the maximum number of overflow attempts for an ACD group from 4 to 8.

2.2.7 Increase the range of ringing time on an ACD extension
This feature increases the range of ringing time on an ACD extension from 1-120 to 1-32768 secs.

2.3 ACD Group/Common Bell Group/Hunt Group Enhancements
2.3.1 Busy message for ACD group with no present members
This feature allows to provide a busy message instead of group busy message for calls from a public trunk line or tie line to an ACD-group without present members.

2.3.2 Allow any member of Hunt Group and Common Bell Group to activate/deactivate diversion for the group number
This feature allows any member of the Hunt Group and Common Bell Group to activate/deactivate diversion for the group number.

2.3.3 Allow Hunt group member to activate/deactivate external follow me for the group number
This feature allows a hunt group member to activate/deactivate external follow me for the group number. In R8, only the PABX operator is allowed to activate/deactivate external follow me for the group number.

2.3.4 Increase the allowed members in Common Bell groups and PBX Groups
This feature increases the number of members allowed in Common Bell groups and Hunt groups. The maximum number of members allowed is increased from 30 to 150 in a Common Bell group and 75 to 160 in a Hunt group.

The feature is generalization of the market uniq ue functions BR-10, UKS-14, UKS-20 and IT-14.

2.3.5 Allow ACD ODN to divert on busy to an ACD group number
This feature allows ACD ODN to divert on busy to an ACD group number. In R8, diversion on busy to an ACD group is rejected. This feature allows an extension to divert on busy to the ACD group.

2.3.6 Diversion if no answer to an ACD group
This feature allows an extension to have diversion on no answer to an ACD group. In R8, diversion on no answer to an ACD group is rejected. This feature allows to execute only if there are no other diversions activated for the group and if there is a free ACD member.

2.3.7 Allow call diversion to a hunt group queue, ACD group
This feature allows to have call diversion on busy/ no-answer to a hunt group queue/ACD group, if all the members in the group are busy.

The feature is generalization of the market uniq ue function US-13.

2.4 Call deflection feature enhancements with maintained CTI/ACD queue
2.4.1 Deflection with maintained ACD queue to support generic extension
In R8, the deflection with maintained ACD queue was supported only for DTS. In R11, all extension types like DTS and Generic extensions are supported.

2.4.2 Deflection with maintained ACD queue to public and private destinations
Deflection with maintained ACD queue is allowed for external destinations (except destinations with network services) for public destinations in R11.

2.4.3 Extend or transfer when the call has been deflected with maintained CTI/ACD queue
If the operator has extended the call before the call has been deflected with maintained CTI/ACD queue, the system will send a STATUS and number update, including call transfer to OAS.

2.4.4 Associating Customer Identity (CID) in all active states
In R8, association of CID is considered only in the speech state. In R11, all active states are considered.

2.4.5 CSTMP Command to print Monitored Positions
The CSTMP command is new. This command facilitates printing of information about the CSTA monitored positions.

2.5 CAS Trunk Adaptations
The CAS R2 and MFC signalling are adapted for the countries such as Brazil, Hungary, Czech market, Poland, Argentina, Indonesia and Thailand. These are enabled using the Operations and Maintenance commands.

2.5.1 CAS R2 and MFC signalling (for AS Brazil)
This feature adapts standard ITU-T MFC signalling to support the Brazilian MFC Standard. It also involves clearing of call during exception conditions such as reception of request for last two digits , request for last digit , reception of last three digit when the requested digits cannot be sent. And also Line Signalling, FORCERELPATTERN of has been changed from H'0B to H'08 to support Brazilian Standard in TL30 block.

The feature is generalization of the market uniq ue functions BR-21, BR-22, BR-23 and BR-24.

2.5.2 Masks for TL30 Trunk lines (for AS Brazil)
This feature enables to mask the C and A bit to support Line signalling (R2 and Discontinuous) for the Brazilian market, as some public exchanges do not comply with ITU-T standard for these two bits.

2.5.3 Modification of MFC signalling (for the Indonesian market)
This feature enables, A-Number Request from Indonesian PSTN using repeated Group A-6 signal in TL30 block. MFC LME standard for all other signalling procedures is introduced.

2.5.4 Pulse Tones are sent after timeout (for the Argentinean market)
This feature will enable sending Congestion information when timeout occurs in BSYMES or REGISTER STATE.

2.5.5 Send MFC signal B8 when the extension is in Line Lockout or Blocked (for the Argentinean market)
This feature enables sending of Group B-8 for an incoming call when call is made to extensions in Line Lockout or Blocked Extensions.

2.5.6 Detect Forced Release (for the Argentinean market)
During the seize state, if force release pattern is received, ASB 501 04 misinterprets it as meeting call (call collision), instead of clearing the call. The table value corresponding to meeting call job is updated with clear call job.

2.5.7 MFC signalling Changes (for the Czech market)
This feature is adaptation of ITU-T R2 MFC standard for the Czech market.

The following Czech adaptations for TL30 trunk are included:

When fault patterns A or B are received as forward signal when the trunk is in idle state, then Block Pattern 8 is sent as backward signal. Further seizure of this trunk is prevented by taking the call state to no progress state.
If idle pattern 9 is received as backward signal, only then the seizure of new trunk is permitted.
When the disturbance pattern A or B are received during the register state for an incoming call, a timer is started. The timer is stopped if seize pattern 8 is restored. At the expiry of this timer, call is cleared.
Disturbance obtained during speech state is ignored.
A-Number fetching is restricted for international calls.

2.5.8 Implementation of MFC R2 standard (for the Thailand market)
This feature is adaptation of ITU-T MFC standard for Thailand CAS MFC R2.

2.5.10 CAS MFC Adaptation (for the Hungarian market)
This feature is adaptation of ITU-T MFC standard for Hungary. This feature also enables the fetching of A-Number digits after the reception of first DID digit.

2.5.11 A-number transfer for analogue trunk lines for TL12 and TL17
This feature enables the transfer of A-Party number information over analogue trunks, TL12 and TL17.

2.6 Charging Enhancements
2.6.1 Enhanced Charging, different charging models
A set of seven different charging models are introduced. The type of the charging model for a particular route is selected using the D 4 bit of the SERV parameter while initiating or changing the route.

The different charging models, (also known as the tariffs) and its associated cost per unit pulse is defined using new charging commands.

The feature is generalization of the market uniq ue function AT-5 (UKS-60).

2.6.2 Charging the assisted extension when PABX operator has extended the call
If an extension requests assistance from an operator and the operator extends the call to a trunk, then by default the operator will be charged for the extended call. A new AS parameter (PARNUM=151) is introduced to control the charge on the operator. If the parameter is set the assisted extension will be charged for the entire call.

2.6.3 Forced disconnection for outgoing calls (limited call duration/limited cost)
An analogue or generic extension making an outgoing ISDN trunk call will be disconnected if the maximum charging cost (pulses) allocated for this directory number is used. The user will receive a special tone or an RVA message after the B-party is released.

The feature is generalization of the market uniq ue function DE-27(OMR1101).

2.7 CIL Feature Enhancements
2.7.1 Incoming Trunk-Id in CIL output
When flexible formats (user defined) are used, for incoming calls where no calling party number is available, the calling number field is left blank. Incoming trunk ID field (if used) shall contain the incoming trunk ID.

The feature is generalization of the market uniq ue functions UK-1, UK-2, UK-3, UK-4, UK-5, UK-6, NE-6, NE-7, DE-20 and HK-2.

2.7.2 Outgoing trunk calls
This feature is to log outgoing calls to public networks that are abandoned before answer. This also works for logging of abandoned external follow me/LCR calls. The option of logging abandoned calls is available only when flexible formats are used and this option has to be explicitly initiated using the call logging command.

A new field called the Charged Number is introduced. This field is applicable only in flexible formats and contain the actual charged number for external follow me/RID public calls. However, the basic functionality available in R8 for standard format is retained.

2.7.3 New condition codes in CIL
The new condition codes for specific traffic cases like diversion on no answer, direct diversion, follow-me, internal group hunting, group call pick-up, calls to busy party, calls to vacant numbers and 64 kbit/s data calls are introduced.

2.7.4 Transfer/extending before and after answer shall output three records
The transfer before and after answer cases are made consistent to output three records. This is possible only if the option of logging abandoned calls is initiated.

2.7.5 Logging of failed calls
This feature is to log failed calls i.e, calls to busy parties and to vacant numbers in various traffic scenarios. Calls to a busy party are those such as:

Individual

A user which is already in use and the new call attempt towards the user is not queued.
Group

No selectable (available) members exist in the group and the new call attempt towards the group is not queued.

2.7.6 Connected number for network cases
The connected number in CL is now extended to twenty digits in order to take care of network cases also. In CIL the connected number is identified by the field identifier E1 , and this shall be available only for flexible formats.

2.7.7 Least Cost Routing output changes for CIL
For Non-LCR calls, the setting of PARNUM=103 has no effect. If there is a destination code on the route of a dialled number, the destination code will be output to access code 1 and rest of digits to the dialled number field, when PARNUM=103 is set to either 0 or 1. In R8, if PARNUM=103 is set to 1 for Non-LCR calls, then destination code is output to access code 1 and also to dialled number field. Dialled number field would hence contain destination code along with rest of the digits.

2.8 Calling Line Identification Restriction (CLIR) Features
2.8.1 CLIR per call, *42#
This feature allows the user to restrict Calling Line Identification Presentation (CLIP) per call basis. The restriction is invoked by dialling the service code, *42#, before dialling the B party number. The feature is activated by commands.

This feature allows the display of the public A-number even if the A-subscriber has the presentation restricted for A-number. The name restriction is also overridden along with number.

Collect call is a type of call where in the destination party (called party) pays for the incoming call. The CCB supplementary service is supported only for public ISDN or MFC network calls, where in the call terminates on ASB 501 04. The CCB supplementary service allows the ASB 501 04 to accept or reject collect calls. Each extension/group of ASB 501 04 has a special category called Collect Call Blocking. Acceptance or rejection of a collect call is based on the CCB category set for the called party or group.

The CCB is enhanced with display of charging information to called party user and also logging of CCB calls.

2.10.1 Provide an interface for switching active personal number profiles over CSTA interface
A procedure to switch the active personal number profile is provided to the CSTA interface to get rid of the existing MML signalling. This is achieved by introducing a new Set_Feature service for activating/deactivating profiles in the protocol between the ASB 501 04 and the ApplicationLink.

Additionally the active profile is reported to CSTA in response to Query_Feature for types of extensions. And also reports events when active profile changes by either MML or procedure.

2.10.2 Allow CSTA functionally for a virtual extension
This feature is to have a full monitoring of a generic extension regardless if it is registered in a terminal or not, in order to be able to log all the received calls by an external application through the information provided in the CSTA events.

To complete the call logging of the extensions through CSTA events, the virtual extensions report the incoming calls which are not done in R8 and also for the cases for Diversion, Deflect, SST and Rerouting.

2.11 DBC 22X
The new DBC 22X family offers a complete set of products: digital telephone sets, IP telephones and OPI.

There is now a new telephone in the family, DBC 225. A new graphical display is the main characteristic of these terminals. As a result of this, a more powerful user interface has been devised, including enhancements such as: new top menu, absent programming, list presentation for number log and dial by name, terminal programming functions and new icons describing traffic cases.

2.12 DTS Extension and ISDN S 0 Extension Features
2.12.1 Default TRM values (for AS Germany, UK and New Zealand)
According to ETSI standards there must not be any attenuation at calls from ISDN S 0 terminals to public trunks (and vice versa).

By default, TRM is automatically set to zero (0) when an S 0 terminal is initiated with the command. This does not fulfill ETSI requirements.

It is implemented as data change in the respective Application system to get the different default values for each of the markets.

2.12.2 Send A-number (and name) to the display when calling an ADN
This feature allows to display the A-number (and name) to the display before answer, for call to ADN. In R8, it is displayed for calls to ADN if it is an ACD member. And in R8, it is only presented to the display of a digital telephone when the call is answered. When more than 1 ADN is available, only the latest information is presented on the display. This is a generalised feature.

2.12.3 Automatic answer should not be programmable for DTS (for AS Germany)
Automatic answer shall not be programmable for DTS, when CALALT is having value 6.

2.12.4 Allow suffix digits with call on hold even though auto ETE-DTMF is set

This feature is meant to reduce the workload for the operator, for incoming calls over the trunk under two scenarios:

For each of the above scenarios, a day answering position and a night answering position are set up using the commands. Depending on the status of the exchange, the calls in case of the above scenarios land on the day or night answering positions.

2.14.7 Providing option of no recall to operator when extended to a Hunt/ACD group
The feature is to provide an option whether recall to operator is desired when extended to a hunt group is considered both for the internal and external cases. For a call extended to an ACD group, the operator will never be recalled. This feature takes care of both the internal and the external cases. In the internal case both the operator and the Hunt/ACD group are defined within the same ASB 501 04, whereas in the external case, the operator and the Hunt/ACD group are in two different ASB 501 04.

2.14.8 Flexible Common operator queue
In R8, the common operator queue length is restricted from 99 to 255. But in certain cases like for small systems, the length of this queue may vary over a wide range. So in R11, the range of the queue length can be varied from1 to 255.

This feature allows operator to activate more than one camp-on to the busy extension.

2.15 IP networking
The IP networking facility provides a new type of trunk which allows multimedia communications between the ASB 501 04 and other H.323-compliant systems, even from other vendors. The H.323 standard uses the Internet Protocol as the underlying protocol.

This facility allows that an ASB 501 04 can be connected through the data network to remote PABXes in multi-site organisations (tie lines, VPN), to PABXes of other organisations or to the public IP network.

The routes defined according to the H.323 ITU-T standard (H.323 routes) make use of the data network to transmit the voice. It is even possible to transmit different media (voice, video, data) over the IP network when H.323 routes are used to make/receive calls to/from IP terminals.

There are a number of new O&M commands, in the new RI command group, for the configuration of H.323 routes and IP network interfaces (ELU32 boards). There are also changes in some other O&M commands, such as the existing for route data (RO), new application system parameters (AS) and traffic measurement (TR) commands.

The following protocols are supported (as part of the H.323 ITU-T standard):

H.225 RAS, i.e. the Registration, Admission and Status protocol part of the H.225.0 standard. Only RAS messages for location are supported.
H.225 Call Signalling (based on Q.931, the ITU-T standard for ISDN), used to establish a connection between H.323 entities.
H.245 Control Signalling, used to exchange end-to-end control messages governing the operation of H.323 entities.
RTP (Real-time Transport Protocol), used to provide end-to-end delivery services of real-time audio and video.
RTCP (Real-time Transport Control Protocol), used to provide control services.
Basic traffic is supported. Quality of service is supported.

2.16.1 Transfer of PROGRESS message in transit

2.16.13 Transparency between S 0 and T (for AS Italy)
The BC and LLC information, received from S 0 terminal is sent to the T interface transparently by ASB 501 04 and visa versa. For an incoming call to S 0 terminal over voice compressed T interface, the transparency BC string is set to NULL and sent to ITL. This will correct the value of BC, used in the voice compression scenarios.

2.16.14 Market adaptation for Hong Kong ISDN type for TLU77/1 (for AS Hong Kong)
The following changes are done in SL63, for the TLU77/1 board to comply with the Hong Kong standard.

SL63 in the call state U9 (incoming call proceeding) receives SETUP, the message is ignored.
SL63 in the call state U9 (incoming call proceeding) receives INFORMATION, the message is ignored.
SL63 in the call state U4(call delivered) receives second ALERTING, STATUS is sent back.
The value of T305 (Disconnect request timer) is modified from 4 seconds to 30 seconds for the Hong Kong market.

2.16.15 Disable alarms during REX test AXE (for AS Netherlands)
In the Netherlands market, public exchange does REX-testing on the ISDN BRA lines. During this REX-testing, the unnecessary alarm in the ASB 501 04 is suppressed from being sent to the alarm log for 120 seconds as the duration of the REX-testing is nearly 90 seconds and after the completion of this testing, the ISDN-BRA lines are restarted to come back to working state.

2.16.16 ISDN Trunk Adaptations (for AS Italy)
When there are two routes, QSIG and VPN connecting two ASB 501 04 exchanges and closed numbering plan is used, for a call attempt made over the QSIG line, and if all QSIG lines are busy, then PNR table is used to reroute the call over VPN network.

2.16.17 End to End DTMF before speech state (for AS Italy)
At the reception of ALERTING or CALL PROCEEDING message with Progress Indicator as 1 (the call is not end-to-end ISDN) or 8 (inband information now available) for a public ISDN call from a DTS, the digits dialled thereafter are sent as DTMF digits.

2.16.18 Make the support of inband-tones programmable for ISDN trunk
Support of inband-tones for ISDN trunk is made programmable by the D 3 bit of the VARC-parameter.

2.16.20 ISDN SETUP sent without called number, for remote dial tone
This feature enables to send SETUP message on an ISDN trunk without the called number and receive remote dial tone. PARNUM=232 will be used to have control on sending/receiving remote dial tone to/from an co-operating exchange. Whenever SETUP message is received without called number and if PARNUM=232 allows remote dial tone connection, the remote dial tone is connected.

2.16.21 Change in Call Waiting indication (for AS Spain)
For the Spanish market, the attenuation for Call Waiting tone is increased from -2dB to -6dB. The internal, and external characteristics for the call waiting indication tone are changed accordingly to achieve this.

2.17 ISDN QSIG Call Offer Feature
Call offer service makes it possible for the calling user to invoke call waiting over a network to a busy user. In R8, this service is available as UUI Call offer and ISO Call offer based on the type of signalling used in the network. ISO Call offer is only possible in a homogeneous ISDN QSIG network that support the Standardized Generic Functional Protocol.

The procedures for invoking/accepting/rejecting ISO Call offer is the same as for UUI Call offer and Call waiting.

The Call offer service can be invoked on the same path which is retained. After path has been retained, the Operator has to extend the call within a specific time in order to invoke the Call offer. The ASB 501 04 supports invocation of Call offer for calls made from an Operator with a connected party.

The Call Offer service is now supported also with the standard QSIG protocol.

In R8, this service was supported with proprietary UUI signalling and with DPNSS. Those protocols are still supported, but there is no interworking with standard QSIG.

2.17.1 ISO Call offer without Path Retention
In R11, Call offer invocation is supported without path retention for an extension in the Originating PINX. When a user in the Originating PINX calls a busy user in the Terminating PINX, the calling user can, on being informed that the called user is busy, decide whether to invoke Call offer or not.

2.17.2 ISO Call offer with Path Retention
Path Retention is a generic mechanism of retaining the network connection between the Originating and Terminating PINX so that a supplementary service can be invoked without establishing a new connection. The ASB 501 04 as Originating PINX requests path retention only when the calling party is an Operator.

2.18 ISDN QSIG Message Segmentation Feature
2.18.1 ISDN QSIG Message Segmentation
ISDN Message Segmentation is the process of splitting an ISDN Layer 3 message which is longer than the length of frames that the data link layer can support. Message segmentation shall only be used when the message length exceeds N201 (defined in Recommendation Q.921).

2.19 Remote Extension Enhancements
2.19.1 Fast Through Connect
For an outgoing call to a remote extension, changes are done in ASB 501 04 in order to get a through connection when the called party starts ringing instead of a through connection after the called party answers the call. This will avoid the delay in speech connection after the called party answers the call. As per the current implementation, through connection takes place only after the called party answers the call and the delay is around 1.5 to 4 seconds. After the introduction of this functionality, for all calls towards a remote extension, the switch will always get through connected whenever the called party starts ringing.

2.19.2 Calling Line Identity
In R8, for an outgoing call towards a remote extension, the calling line identity is displayed to the remote extension user even if the original calling party has presentation restricted. In R11, for an outgoing call towards a remote extension, the calling line identity is displayed to the remote extension user only when presentation category of the calling party is set to presentation allowed .

2.19.3 Remote Extension Traffic over DPNSS/DASS trunks
In R8, for an incoming call to ASB 501 04 over a DPNSS/DASS trunk, when the user dialled the R1 number and the extra digits together, the extra digits were ignored. In R11, for an incoming call to ASB 501 04 over a DPNSS/DASS trunk, if the user dials the R1 number along with the extra digits, the extra digits are stored and used to locate the final called party.

2.20 Recorded Voice Announcement Enhancements
In R8, similar RVA features for different countries are existing in a different way but not as a general solution.

In R11, all the different RVA features are generalized.

The new RA command set is used to initiate, change, end and print the welcome and continuous announcements for the Individuals and to define announcements for the Vocal Guidance traffic cases.

2.20.1 RVA welcome announcements for individuals
RVA is provided to the calling party before ringing the called extension. The announcement is assigned to the directory number using an I/O command and will be played whenever that directory number is called. In general, a welcome message is provided to the calling party before ringing the called party. This individual announcement can be provided to voice extensions and external lines (with voice traffic), and is similar to welcome announcement provided to PBX/ACD groups.

2.20.4 Vocal guidance
Vocal guidance feature provides the calling party with appropriate guidance message on encountering certain traffic cases. The announcements can be made customer specific by associating announcement numbers to the customer number. The feature is valid for ATS, DTS and CXN extensions only. The different announcements to be played depends on the traffic case. In R11, only internal traffic cases are considered. Some network cases like vacant number are also considered.

GPGRE Group call pickup group end. The command is used for erasure of call pickup groups. A call pickup group consists of a number of extensions (members) that are assigned a common group number (sequence number).

ITYPE The parameter states the type of digital key system telephone. The parameter is increased with DBC 225.

KEY Parameter for key placings. This parameter has been changed, new data for DBC 225 has been introduces and some other changes has been made.

STRNO Text string number. Parameter STRNO is now increased with two new message types. SKG, Traffic functions assigned to the soft-keys for DBC 223 and 225. TOP, Traffic functions assigned to the DBC 225 Top Menu.


6.22 Name Identity, NI
6.22.1 Changed commands
NIINE Name Identity Individual Name End. This command is used to remove the name associated to an extension, DNIS number, individual PABX operator or group (PBX, ACD, ANCD or common bell), personal number list and/or to remove its associated entry in the dial by name database. New parameter is LIST. This parameter shows the number of personal number list position. This parameter is also only accepted when the Individual repeated distribution feature is loaded.

NIINI Name Identity Individual Name Initiate. The command NIINI is used to associate a name to an individual, and to store it in the dial by name database if the Dial by name feature is loaded and it is specified with the NAMDB or NAME parameter. New parameter is LIST, Number of the Personal number list. This parameter is only accepted when the Individual repeated distribution feature is loaded.

NIINP Name Identity Individual Name Print. The command is used for printing the directory numbers, DNIS numbers, group numbers and individual PABX operators numbers with the corresponding associated name. The command is also used to print the dial by name database entries. For this purpose, the parameters NAME and TYPNUM is used. The same command is used to print the name associated to the Personal number list. For this purpose, the parameters DIR and LIST are used. New parameter is LIST, Number of Personal number list.


6.22.2 Changed parameters
NAME Changes to when this is accepted has been made. Now this parameter is accepted when either the Dial by name feature or Individual repeated distribution is loaded.


6.22.3 New parameters
LIST Number of the Personal number list. ALL is permitted for this parameter.


6.23 PABX Operator Traffic, OP
6.23.1 Changed commands
OPCAC Operator Category Change. The parameter OPC is modified.

OPADC Operator absent trunk traffic distribution change. The parameter NDIR is modified and two new parameters TIME and OFLNUM are added.

The same command can also be used to inititate a vocal guidance announcement for a vocal guidance traffic case. The parameter CUST can be used to assign these announcements to a particular customer.

RACEC Recorded Voice Announcement Connection Change. The command is used to change and/or remove the values of various announcements numbers for ATS, DTS and CXN. The same command can be used to change a vocal guidance announcement assigned for a vocal guidance traffic case. This assignment can also be set optionally for a customer using the parameter CUST.

RACEE Recorded Voice Announcement Connection End. The command is used to remove all announcements assigned to ATS, DTS or CXN directory numbers. This command can also be used to remove announcements assigned to a vocal guidance traffic. This removal can also be made particular to a customer using the parameter CUST.

RACEP Recorded Voice Announcement Connection Print. The command is used to print all announcements assigned to ATS, DTS and CXN directory numbers. The same command can be used to print all the vocal guidance announcements assigned to different traffic cases and optionally for a customer using the parameter CUST.


6.24.2 Changed commands
RAGAI Recorded Voice Announcement Group Announcement Initiate. The command is used to set welcome, queue, repeated queue, continuous announcements and timer values for call origin group of an operator and for ACD/Group Hunting group (GRP). New parameters QTIME, REPTIME are used as timers for providing queue and repeated queue announcements to the calling party. QTIME is the time duration before providing the queue announcement and REPTIME is the time duration before providing repeated queue announcement to the calling party.

RAGAC Recorded Voice Announcement Group Announcement Change. The command is used to change welcome, queue, repeated queue, continuous, announcements and timer values for call origin group of an operator and for ACD/Group Hunting group (GRP). New parameters QTIME, REPTIME are used as timers for providing queue and repeated queue announcements to the calling party. QTIME is the time duration before providing the queue announcement and REPTIME is the time duration before providing repeated queue announcement to the calling party.

RAGAP Recorded Voice Announcement Group Announcement Print. The command is used to print all announcements assigned to ACD. New parameters QTIME and RTIME are used for queue announcement time and repeat queue announcement time.

VARI A new value for D 8 has been added for VARI parameter. The old range 0-3 has been modified to 0-7.

VARO When D 7 is assigned the values 4, 5, 6 and 7 the charging request is sent in National IE + Facility IE at the call setup for Spanish market.

Value of VARO parameter D 4 has been changed from 0-5 to 0-F.
