New Field cannot be INDEXED????????

Hi,

I have created a new field i Goldmine “Urefiddca” it is a numeric field and 11 characters long but for some reason I cannot index it. For example in the search centre it does not show any data when I enter: Urefiddca begins with 35....
However when i enter only the 1st number it will index, although this is not sufficient.
Can anyone please help me with this matter?
