I have been using PageMaker since version 4 and I've never run into this before.

I am getting a message that says...

"Cannot update embedded profile from image “file name and location”.
Ignore subsequent warnings"?

I get this for every linked image in the document on every job I open.

I have even tried removing and placing the images again but I still get the messages every time I open the files.

Anyone have any ideas.

Mike

Hi, Mike,

Likewise, but since PM3!

I'm assuming that it's something to do with an embedded ICC profile, and I try to avoid embedded profiles at every opportunity.

This may (or may not) help:

Hi “Big John”

I'll check this out.

I should have said that these are old jobs done over the last year or two that I am going back to, to do revisions for reprinting.

I'm not getting this on my current jobs and I didn’t get it on these jobs originally.

If I did activate something some how I'll have to figure out what and how to undo it though as far as I can see it doesn’t make any difference to the finished job which are all in PDF format and print fine. It’s just annoying to have to close 10 windows every time I open some of these jobs.

This may or may not have started as a result of installing service pack 2. It started about that time but I'm not sure that it started at the same time.
