New email not appearing in inbox until click on Inbox

I am using Outlook xp with Exchange 2003. Just recently, I started having issues with new email. If I have Outlook open and Inbox selected, new email will not appear until I click off of Inbox. As soon as I do that, new emails appear. This just started happening a couple days ago and have not adjusted any settings with Outlook.

You are also using ISA server? You need to add Exchange to the allowed list. It was a security hotfix that closed a security hole caused this problem.

No we are not using ISA server. I am the only user that is having this problem too.

Is xp sp2 firewall running? that caused problems at our place too that were very similar to what you described.
