Hi,
FYI, I've built an E*Gate alert utility and am making it available for others online, relatively inexpensively. This is a Windows app built with the .Net framework.
This consists of two parts; a Windows Service, installed on a machine with E*Gate on it, which acts as a Status Server, and a Windows Client app that can be installed on machines without E*Gate installed, which connects to the Status Server and sends alerts if components meet certain criteria.
I'm running this on E*Gate 4.5.2. It'll probably work on other versions, but requires a Windows installation of E*Gate to work.
Please visit for more info.
Thanks
Keith

What value add are you offering above the alert agent& SNMP agent that comes packaged with the product?

Hi
We didn't get the Alert Agent support with our contract, so I built this as an alternative. One good thing about this is that if the machine that the E*Gate host/schema are running on goes down, it'll let you know. The client app can run on remote pc's without E*Gate installed. The Status Server service runs on a machine with E*Gate installed, but not necessarily running, polling E*Gate hosts/scemas elsewhere.
I'm not sure how that compares to the Alert Agent and SNMP agent, as I don't have those.
