Has Mitel implemented the DST changes for 2007?

DST starts 2nd Sunday (March 11) of March instead of 1st Sunday of April.

DST ends 1st Sunday (November 4) in November instead of last Sunday in October.

Thanks

Ron

The only product that is going to have issues with this is MitelMail, no idea yet as to what Mitel's plans are for it.

Here it is on a product by product basis, as far as I see it:

3300: does not follow DST on it's own, always updated by human or OpsMan
OpsMan: follows Windows time on server, sync server to a NTP server on the I'net
200: specify fall back and move forward day in Form 4
Teleworker/ME/NuPoint 9 & 10: all run on Linux MAS server, can be set to sync off a NTP server, so should follow DST just fine if you do that.
PrairieFyre: windows box, see Ops info above
YA/Collab server: Windows box, see Ops info.

Am I missing any? That's about all the products I see on a daily basis.

MitelMail/Nupoint 7 (maybe 8.x as well, not sure): all have built in calenders which will not know about the DST rules. Upgrade to NuPoint10, or, remove DST update in the NuPoint/MM and set it twice a year manually. I don't think you'll see a patch come from Mitel for it since they are old systems.

One additional note, there's a Windows patch (KB238998) to take care of the new DST change-over dates, be sure to install that on your servers (Enterprise Manager/OpsManager, 6510, 6100, etc.). Yes, if you synch to a time server that SHOULD take care of it, but I see a lot of servers out there that are running "off the grid" so to speak, so it's a good CYA measure to install the update. I've already tried it on a server running EMan 3.1/Ops 7.5 with no issues. Also if you have an older 6000 MAS out there, or an older NuPoint (pre-release 10.0), you have some work to do. Check Mitel On-Line for the tech bulletins.

Yes Lundah, I was wrong in regards to the Nupoint's, they did decide to release a fix for them, I guess there is enough out there to be concerned about. The fix is manual, and you will have to go to MOL and get it. If you apply the fix, and then later go nack in via the NuPoint menu's in to the time zone config and make a change, it will overwrite your manual changes. So it's more of a band aid then a fix, but is unsupported product afterall.
