Hi
Have recently added a Win2003 Server to a Windows 2000 domain in order to replace the Win2k Server on the domain.
The Win2003 Server jioned the domain and promoted it to a Domain Controller. Ran the ntdsutil and transfered the FSMO roles to the new server. Have checked in the AD Sites and Services MMC and the new server seems to have assumed all the roles for the Domain. Have also transfered all the other networking services, DHCP, DNS, WINS, to the new server, and all is running well.
Until I remove the old server, then none of the machines on the network (mixture of Win2k and XP Pro) can find the domain. Also can't logon to the new server via terminal services. The moment that the Win2k server is plugged back into the network then it works again. Have checked AD and it is replicating.
Please Help.....
