New DN

HI,
I need some advice to configure new DN.
requirement is as follows
1)Two systems are interconnected - Avaya IP office and BCM 450.
In BCM 450 there are INACTIVE sets which are made to forward calls to extensions of Avaya IP office.
there is one extension /DN which i need to add and forward the same to Avaya IP office extension.
But i dont know how to activate the new DN

To make a DN active plug a phone in.

You should be having a technician program perhaps....already does not sound right.
