We have multiple locations, currently all of our dids come into the one main site and are either kept local or forwarded to the remote switch. I just obtained a new did group and need it to go to the remote switch. How do i do this?

FYI
Local DIDs are 2400-2499 and 3500-3599
Remote DIDs are 4800-4899 and 5800-5899
The new did group is going to be 3300-3399

The easy way would be to change the UDP (Uniform Dial Plan) routing.

Type 'change udp x' where x is the first digit of the extensions. (in your case 3)

However to send these extensions to the remote PBX, you'll first need to create a new AAR route.

Type 'change aar analysis 1' to get an idea of how the extensions are routed in your system.

Then create a new route (change route x) to go to the remote PBX trunk group, and assign an aar code to that route. (change aar ana x)

Associate the aar code (change udp x) with the extension range, and calls to those extensions should route to the remote PBX.

Be sure when you create the route pattern, that you tell the system to strip off the 3 digits of the aar code. (Or the system will send all 7 digits. aar code + extension)

Carpe dialem! (Seize the line!)
