i have two backup drives installed on a windows 2000 server. An internal seagate DAT drive that is currently doing our backups. Also an external HP DLT drive has been installed and detected by the OS. Drivers have all been installed successfully. Veritas backup exec can detect the segate device but not the newly installed device. i have tried unchecking the "enable library" option thru removable storage. it didn't help.

the driver for the seagate device states the driver provider is from Veritas backup inc. but the Driver for the Hp DLT drive says its provider is from Benchmark.

thanks in advance

Do you have the Library Expansion Agent for the second drive?

This was a problem we had when upgrading to BE 8.6 and Veritas confirmed that you need to purchase an agent for any new drives you add to your server.

Hope this helps
