I have added a brand new dc to my domain. There are now currently 3 DCs running, and the new one will hold the FSMO roles and I will be taking down dc2. It does not hold the roles yet, but it will. I have followed the steps outlining in setting up an additional domain controller. What can I do to verify whether or not it is working correctly as far as commands? I am getting a Userenv 1030 and 1058 every 5 minutes.

All other Event categories are fine, except for File Replication Service which gives me event 13512 when the FRS Service first starts up, but I dont think that particular event matters. (someting about disk write cache enabled - i went to where I can disable it and it is grayed out)

Thank you.

disk write caching CAN cause FRS issues...but alot of times those events can be safely ignored (if I remember right, it depends on manufacturer on disks, controllers, etc.)

what is your dns configuration?

be sure the new box will have DNS pointed to himself and and himself only, and replica DCs point to the PDCe for preferred, and themselves as alternates.
