New DB2 Runtime Client Lite V8 inlcudes DB2 z/OS support ?

Hi everybody,

I am wondering whether this is in fact something useful for us or not to be used as a client package for windows rollout.

Since we need Host Support I used to take the DB2 Connect Personal Edition, stripped it down and shipped it.

Does the DB2 Runtime Client actually support the host ?
I can't find the information on the webpage itself:

http://www-306.ibm.com/software/data/db2/runtime.html

But I guess since DB2 Connect support is not mentioned there will be no support for the host ?
We did not used Connect Servers in the past, would that be an option to be able to use this client package ?

Some clarity would be great.
