I'm hoping someone can help me out as I am not familiar with Domino at all and our expert is out off the office for several months. I'm researching whether or not I need to do anything with our Lotus Domino applications with regards to the change in daylight savings time. With my Microsoft apps, all of the applications take the date/time from the system clock so it there is no change except for a patch on the server. I've looked at the IBM site and read the Technote title "Daylight Saving Time (DST) 2007 effects on Date/Time fields in Lotus Notes and Domino" and I honestly can't figure out if I need to do anything. So, if someone can clarify it for me, I'd be VERY grateful!

TIA,
Michelle

My understanding is that Domino only reads from the system clock when it starts, so a restart of Domino post-clock-change is probably in order.

Normally not needed with a restart either... System date/time 'refreshes' 01:00 every night as 'default'.

Actually we're both sorta right - I have two Domino servers, one was 7.0.1 and one was 7.0.2 - the earlier version required a restart to read the clock, the newer one didn't. Go figure.

BTW - they're both now 7.0.2FP1 (FP1 takes care of the Java updates for DST).
