Hey guys, im thinking about putting a new computer together to run along with my main computer which is the following:
1GB ram,
ATI Radeon 9550,
P 4 2.00 GHZ,
120 GB - 7200 RPM + 28 GB 5400 RPM HDD
2x CD/DVD drives.

Its a pretty decent computer, but i was wondering: If you guys had 800 USD what parts would you put twards a new computer (Starting from scratch of course.)

That would depend on what the computers will be used for.

The answer is "42"

At this moment in time and on that sort of budget I would say:
Intel Core2 Duo (possibly 6300/6400)
One of the more budget oriented Intel 965 chipset mtherboards ie: MSI 965P NEO or Intel DP965LT
Nice big SATA II hard drive say a 320gig westerndigital Caviar SE16 (16meg)
Quality case and power supply, maybe an Antec Sonata or similar (400watt or above) think this case actually comes with a quality 450watt unit.
Possibly an Nvidia 7600GT (if budget allows) or ATI X1800GT
Nice DVDRW LG? seem pretty good ATM
A Gig of DDR2 branded memory something like Corsair PC5300 value (if you can push to a value 6400 DDR2 that would be even better)
I'm trying to keep within budget but suspect the graphics card may have taken it a bit over so may have to be taken down a peg.
