New Compact ICS and beginner

I am starting up a business and bought a new Compact "ICS with CICS6.1, 5 7316E phones. I have been doing alot of reading, and have completed the startup with out problem, but not real hot at programing, and there is a ton to read. I would like to get some help. no call pilot(YET)..

4 CO's and 12DN's (starting at 101).

I would like some basic help.. or point me to a document that will help. I did activate RAD to line004 with 5 rings to answer. Is there software I need? free?> or buy? cost? is it easier?

I would first start with the installer and the system coordinator manuals. Just about every answer you will need is in the manuals.

If you can not make it through these manuals without an understanding of where to start, it is time to call in a Vendor.

A vendor should help you grasp the basic understanding of the system and how it programs.

Most guys here will help you out if you are in a pinch, however, you really need to buckle down on the manuals.

If you want your system to work correctly call a vendor. A good one will properly set it up, and train you in its use. The books are not designed for an enduser to set up a system.

You don’t need a rad or software

The IRAD is for remote configuration of your system. The software is NRU it costs about $500 to $600 depending on a vendor.

I agree to call a vendor something that would take a vendor acouple of hours to do will save you alot of time.

I would disable the IRAD you don't want customers calling in and getting the IRAD if the 4th line is part of your hunt group for you co lines.
