I'm setting up two new 2610 over a decicated T1 line. There will be two subnets: 1) 209.85.32.0
2) 192.168.0.0

Subenet mask will be the same. Do you guys have any heads up or any tips in how I can get startet. I'm novice when it comes to cisco configuration.

PLEASE HELP!

Thanks very much.

I think we need a little more info on this.

What you want to do is that to connect two different sites using a Cisco 2610 at each location using a leased T1 line?

If yes, I would like to know why you use public IP-numbers at one location and privat IP-numbers at another location.

The config of the routers should be very simpel.

I don't know why. I enherited this mess. We hqave the private numbers behind a firewall.

We're getting a full T1 and hook up both 2610 and the offices together.

Where is the connection?
Only on the inside?

It's not that a problem to have both privat and public IP-numbers. You just need to plan for it.

What you are saying is this that Network A uses 209.x.x.x and Network B use 192.x.x.x?
If yes, where is the firewall?

/johnny

The firewall is set up for internert access DSL. wich will not be connected to the cisco routers.

So you have a leased line to the internet with a router and a firewall.
Behind the firewall you have the 209.85.32.0 network.
From the 209.85.32.0 network you want to connect a 2610 that has a T1 line connected to it.
On the other end of the T1 you again have a 2610 and the network 192.168.0.0

Is this correct?

I don't remember the config of the T1 line but that should only take 2 sec. to find that out.

Send me an email at joe@joe.net and I will try to give you a configuration that should work (or at least be very close to working)
