New CCNA Exam

Hey guys,

In addition to the CCENT they also have a new CCNA Exam !!

What I just got from Cisco Press -

Cisco Launches New CCNA Exam; Cisco Press to Publish New Products

On June 25, 2007, Cisco® announced a significant revision to the CCNA® (Cisco Certified Network Associate) certification. At the same time, Cisco also announced a new certification: CCENT™ or Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician. Cisco Press will be the first publisher to have new products for both CCNA and CCENT exam preparation.

Cisco Press products will be available within just a few weeks of the exam's availability, and will include a new version of the best-selling CCNA Official Exam Certification Library, plus the all-new CCNA Quick Reference Sheets.

The new CCNA 640-802 and CCENT 640-822 exams will be available starting August 1, 2007.

Yes, I saw it as I came to the site to post mine!

Yours was more centered on the new CCENT cert and mine was an email I got from Cisco Press so I figured some was the same and other parts were different

Soooooooooooooooo this might at least limit the number of questions we get about when books will be out for the new cert and the new CCNA exam

Just some thoughts!

I am scheduled to take the first course of the Cisco Networking Academy in the fall. How will this affect the curriculum for the Academy? I just purchased late last year the CCNA library. What is it that Cisco will add to the curriculum?

Not sure what is changing on CCNA but the Cisco Network Academy stays right in line as Cisco makes changes to the exam since the Cisco Academy system is part of Cisco.

I know that the Cisco Academy has been rolling out new curriculum this summer and in the past Cisco has made adjustments or has allowed Academy students more leeway in taking exams that match what is being taught in the Academy.

Just check with your instructor on the first day of class - that should make his day
