DANGEROUS BUGBEAR VARIANT SPREADING RAPIDLY | SearchSecurity.com
A variant of the Bugbear worm, Bugbear.B, has spread quickly in Europe this morning. The variant is polymorphic, a capability that gives it a different appearance each time it hits an inbox. Like its predecessor, it also spoofs e-mail addresses, drops a keystroke-logging program and opens TCP Port 1080 on infected systems as a back door.
