My just published book "Component Designby Example" would be of interest to you, because it is a technical book that demonstrates, by example the front-end design processes for digital/analog/rf/system designs. The book is based on the "Reuse Methodology Manual, WritingTestbenches", government documents (MIL-STD-490), commercial specs, other textbooks, and new commercial standards for documentation and measure of reuse excellence. This book is unique in that it provides a practical approach to design through a model.

This book is NOT just about hardware description language used in ASIC/FPGAdesigns, but rather about the PROCESSES involved in doing design fromrequirement specs (in English), architectural plan (in English), Verificationplan (in English). The book then develops the design and verification in VHDL. In also provides templates for documentation (based on Motorola'sguidelines), and discusses issues related to designs, along with guidelines.
