About a week ago I installed the new BIOS update for my ABIT KT7. This is the first update that I have performed after I aquired my motherboard. I beleive that it is the new 4A revision. I have also installed VIA's 4in1 for the KT133 chipset. After eveything said and done my CPU is running around 50C just browsing the internet. It used to run around 38C and only ran over 50C under extreme loads(playing a SNES emulator while running Winamp and downloading off the internet). If I do this now it will reach into the 60C range and has crashed. My computer is not overclocked and has a large sink, fan, and thermal goo. Additionally, my VIAHM says that the fan is spinning at near 5700rpm. Does anyone have a good explaination of this phenomenon. Is there something I can do besides putting new cooling equip on a non overclocked CPU? Oh, and why is the displayed cpu core voltage different from what I designate? I designated 1.675 in the BIOS for an output of 1.73. My Athlon 850 runs at 1.70. I know that that that much fluctuation is no problem, but there is a great difference in what I specify and what the processor recieves. Thanks
