Hello all,
Im very much new to crystal. All I want to do is call a .rpt file from an .asp page (with parameters).
I've got Crystal Enterprise (Evaluation copy) with me. It has Web wizard, publishing wizard, crystal configuration manager etc.

that depends - ce can pump out managed and unmanaged reports. Managed reports require you to write some vbscript or javascript that logs you into ce - gets you a "session" and allows you to then make reqport viewing requests - secure and safe. Take a look at any of the developer samples on the CE launchpad. They are all ".csp" samples. a .csp page is the same as a .asp page - with a few exceptions. you can even rename a .csp page to .asp and it will run the same. also try #include for .csp pages from your .asp code.

the other way - unmanaged - via a url line - just like CR 8 did. just place a report in the inetpub\ directory (assuming you use IIS) and in the URL line type:

the WCS will pump out the report in the activex viewer - the web component server is actually doing this. url commends lines can control the ouput of the wcs in more detail - i.e. will invoke the DHTML viewer.
