I believe this should be an easy one for you guys, just needed to know how to setup an offsite AVaya 5410 Ip phone. I have worked with toshiba phones in the past and to setup an offsite IP phone was simple as the programming was done on the phone to connect from anywhere there was internet access. I dont see any programming on these phone but understand that I should be able to take my phone anywhere there is internet plug it into the network and have it communicate back to the switch. Is this so, and if so can anyone point me to the right guide to set this up.

the 5410 is a tdm phone not an ip phone
For ip conectivity you need the ip5610
to connect vis the internet you need the vpn firmware loading or a local vpn configured on your router
you may also require additionla licences on the IP office

i would recommend the following

1) get a competent business partner/maintainer who can configure things for you & advise accordingly

2) obtain some basic admin training on hte system so you are aware of its features & requirements.

I do not Have A.D.D. im just easily, Hey look a Squirrel!
