I recently added a few Exchange 5.5 servers to an existing site to get some mailboxes off of another failing 5.5 server. One of the new Exchange servers is having problems. It is not building MTA queues for servers in other sites. I can see all the queues for other servers in the same site but not in any other site for which there is a site connector set up.
Mailbox that are moved to the new server are able to receive e-mail. They can send e-mail inside their own site but get bouncebacks when sending to other sites. The bounce is a mail looping-type error.
The permissions for the Service Account Admin are set properly at the site, configuration, and server containers. I don't see any RPC errors in the event log.
Anyone have an idea what might be causing this? The box is running Windows 2000 sp4 with Exchange 5.5 sp4. Thanks for any help.
