new 2000 serer

Hi

I have recently upgraded my PDC (nt4) to windows 2000, all went ok. This server is in site A

I would like to upgrade my bdc (nt4) to windows 2000 at site B (differant subnet)

However i would like to build the new server at site A without having problems there

If i install the server at site A but don't run dcpromo, like a member server. This will not Validate users in site A am i correct?

correct. member servers do not participate in user authentication.
