end up at a download screen, like as if i were
downloading a file of the internet, but im not
im just trying to view the ".pl" page.

Please help, it sounds EZ
maybe my Computer just is to messed up

Give us a little info...

are you trying to run your script on your local machine or on a remote server? There's always a better way...

Give it the right permissions. Probably not just read but give it read & execute

im on a win32 sytem and as far as i can tell only unix can be chmod, and yes it on a local machine

Hi mate,

If the script is outside of the cgi-bin directory, then try executing it inside the cgi-bin just to see if problem is the server config.

Otherwise, could you post the script source here? It may be a problem with the actual script.

Hope this helps Wullie
