Networks keep resetting themselves

Hi,

I have a user on Windows 10 and the Wifi & Ethernet keep resetting themselves.

I had it all working, Ethernet connected and reg-edited so it was showing as Private Network not Public, the user went away and the network has reset itself, so now he is on WiFi not Ethernet, the Ethernet shows no internet access and Public network.

What is wrong with Windows 10?

1.Press Win+R, then type secpol.msc
2.Click on "Network List Manager Policies"
3.Double-click on your network
4.Click on "Tab Network Location"
5.Set "Location Type" to "Private"

Go back to Network and Sharing Center to check the result.

I'll try the metric setting to ensure Ethernet has priority.

The private network registry setting I had already tried and it just reset itself?
