We wanted to set up a home network, and tried several times. But we could never made it right.
We have two computers in Win XP and Win 2000.
Our computers are both connected to cable router.
We need your help.

Its quite straightforward - is a good site for help and instructions. Post back if necessary (there are a number of other good sites & if you get a bit further and need specific help...)

What exactly was going wrong? As wolluf says, it is straightforward, especially if you've got a router. Please provide more details.
