I have an NT box networked to and NT box. I can share and read file on the ME from the NT, but not the other way. When I'm on the ME box and click on the NT machine I get the prompt for a "Network Password", which there isn't one I don't think. At least I never set up one.

It show's this in the prompt:

Resource: \\NTMACHINE\IPC$
Password: ________________

What settings do I need to change on my NT machine so the Windows ME read from it?

The user on the ME machine needs local access to the NT machine, either by being set up as a local user, or via a share set up for everyone to access.

I hope this helps

I tried setting up a share with permissions to "Everyone" and it didn't work.

How do I turn on the Guest account on the NT box?

The easiest way is to set up a new user on the NT box which is the same as the username and password on the ME box, Then set up the shares on the nt box and add that user which whatever access rights you want.
