networking w/o router?

hi all-
recently, i bought a small hub. i plugged my cable modem into port one and my pc into port 2. will this work with multiple pcs or do i need a router? Jeff Moss

it is up to your cable company, if they allow multiple IP addresses (either free or for a fee) then yes, it will. If they don't, then you need a router, either software or hardware. I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.
