HI For All , Has any one have configured two ipoffice via ISDN LINK BRI ?

If yes what is the right steps ?

the BRI Lines doesnt support Qsig ?

Can i use H450 ?

You are unable to network at all using BRI.

In PRI Line config you can select from ETSI, QSIGA, QSIGB. This is not an option for BRI at all. H.450 is only for IP lines.

Can you send me your email i will try to send you a schemas because i have tried to connect an ipoffice with 3com router via Lan and on the 3 com Router i have putted a BRI Line and at the other side i have an IPOFFICE with a BRI Card and i have putted on a BRI Line .

it work fine can you explain me why ?

It sounds like you want to call from SiteA (eg London) to SiteB (eg Paris) by dialling a Paris number. It goes via IP to Paris and then hops off onto the BRI at the Paris site and makes a local call. Is that correct?

If so, set up each site independently of each other. Get them working. Then create your IP lines and make sure you can call between the xtns. Then create a short code in Site A for the local numbers at SiteB. In my example, in the London system setup a short code of
S/C 00331N
T/N 01N
Feat. Dial
Grp.ID 1 (the IP line)

So when a user dials a Paris number (33 country code,1 area code) it will remove those digits and go across the IP line. It will then dial 01N into the Paris system and short code there should send it out on the BRI.

Does this sound like what you want to do?

no i just want the link between the ipoffice Via ISDN BRI is UP and i can make Calls when i have tested this using BRI line at the two ipoffice ends this doesnt work but when i have putted a 3Com Router betwwen one ipoffice and BRI Line and at the other ends there is only an ipoffice with BRI Line it have worked succeffuly ? i dont see the difference

You can use BRI but you need a VCM card.
Create on both systems a Service, each service dials a RAS number on the other site. Once eshtablished you have a IP connection between the sites, now you voip the calls over ISDN.
You can have three G.729 calls per 2 BRI channels.
I've done that a lot in the pre xDSL times.

thanks Mr intrigant , but can you give me more details how to configure this on ipoffice step by step ?

yes it is really what i want to do , IP Trunk Over BRI LINE support .

can any one tell me mores details how to configure the two ipoffice using ipconnection via BRI Lines ?

From what I gather, you want to make a dialup RAS connection between two sites and put voice over the top. Is that correct?

In the Engineer's Toolkit, go to the Find option and search for "ISDN Link Between IP Offices". It will describe the exact steps you need to take. This will create a dialup service across ISDN for data.

Then search for "Enabling Small Community Networking" which will describe how to add VoIP to the existing data link.

If there's one piece of advice to take, make all the names simple, lowercase and short. The last thing you need is trying to troubleshoot and the cause just being a simple typo. You can change these later on after you know what you're doing and you've tested it. Do not use a name that's exactly the name of the System either - use something like sitea and siteb to start with, then maybe change it to paris & london. Make the Service name the destination of where you're going.

All of this (the exact scenario even) is taught in the 5 day training course for the IP Office.
