networking tracing

Hi, we've got a new application running on some servers (4 AIX 5.3TL04 for App + 1 AIX 5.3TL04 for oracle).
The application is sometimes having problems to connect to oracle, seems loss of connection, but errpt shows no networking errors.
Is there a way to trace or sniff networking in our servers, to see if there's an issue?

Are there errors in the log of the tnslistener ? Could well be your listener is acting crazy.
