Hi, I was wondering is it possible to go into another computer in Window 2000 platform via a hub to read a file from one computer and interpret back in the client side using Visual C++6 under NT. If so, do I need another program? If I can do that, how? Please advise.

All is possible. Such questions can't be answered - there are too many variants. Which net? Is there a server? If yes, which one (Novell? NT? Linux? Is the file in Database?) Which hub - may be it is a gateway or switch? Do You need TCP/IP only or can use NetBIOS? UDP? SMTP? What do You mean under "interpret back in the client side using Visual C++6 under NT"? Is an Internet server running on the target? Will/can You use a worm? Can You log in on the target at all? Can You login in net? Do You have enough access rights for folders You need read from? Etc.
