I'll tell you the most important things first. I'm running Windows XP Home and I'm using a DLink wireless ethernet card and a 10/100 ethernet card that's built on to my motherboard. The brand and model numbers probably aren't a factor here. Here's my problem:

I use the wireless card to get my cable internet from my router. However, any time I want to share the internet through my wired card, I can't do it. ICS doesn't work. Winproxy doesn't work. In fact, if the wired card is enabled, the intenet stops working on my computer even though I'm still connected to the wireless connection. Now, the reason I don't feel that I need to give specific computer information is because my last computer had the same exact problem in XP (don't know if it would work on any other Windows OS), but different wireless and wired cards. It is as if XP assumes that the wired card must be my internet connection and my wireless card is being used to route that connection. Is there anyway to make XP know that my wireless card is my primary card and my wired card is my secondary one? Thank you.
