I have networked my Win98 machine to my OS9 machine in the past with no problems. This was done by setting up an FTP server and client on these systems. Later on I switched to using PC/MAC LAN with equal success.
I am now using OSX which should be easier but I am running into problems. The Mac can see all HTTP/FTP services being dished out from the PC but I cannot get it to go the other way. The PC cannot view the documents dished out by Apache on the Mac. The Apache served pages are viewable locally on the Mac at 127.0.0.1 but they cannot be seen through the network.
The local IP address for the PC is 192.168.1.1 and the address for the Mac is 192.168.1.2. They use the same mask. This is the extent of my knowledge on setting up IP addresses.
The cable between the computers is fine as it is the same one that worked when I work with OS9.
Is there something that I am missing? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
