We just upgraded our Octel 250 to Modular Messaging. We have a customer that forwards messages to some of our agents from their Octel and this does not work. We cannot get a clear answer from Avaya yet on whether or not this is a supported feature in MM. The old networking was done using Octel analog networking. I have seen referenced to this feature being available in MM but nothing clear.

Does anyone have this working or know if it is possible?

Many thanks

If you have an MM with the MSS backend then you would need to use the Message Network S3210 system to network between and Octel 250 and the MM system.

If you have the MM with Exchange then you can setup Octel Analog networking between the two.

Thanks - I was afraid of that but was hoping that I missed something when reading through the docs.

If your Avaya rep did not know the answer to that i would get a new rep ASAP.
