I'm trying to get my network to recognize my phaser 740. Usually all I have to do is to do a cold reset and I'm off to the races. This time, The printer is not getting an IP address. I tried using its designated port as well as a port that I know to be working. Ive tried another card with no success. Its as if its sending a request to the dhcp server but is not getting anything back. The only thing I haven't tried is to reset the router itself to see if that is not the problem.

The router is a smc 7004abr. Because I can't assign an IP address to the printer, I can't install it as a usable printer on win2000. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
