Hi there,
I was thinking of networking my 2 home PC's. 1 has a Windows ME installed and has a modem. The other has Windows XP installed and has both a modem and a network card. I am wondering if it is possible to network the 2 PCs in order to share printers or send files back and forth until i get time to install a network card in the Windows ME machine?

Any help on this would be much appreciated.

Thanks

I suggest looking for primers on how to set up a simple home network. It's really easy, but you do need to understand some basics first. You may want to visit for a start. From there, do google/yahoo searches. Then you can easily set up a peer-to-peer network between the two systems using one for Internet connection sharing. At a minimum, you would need to ethernet nics (network interface cards) which may be built into your computers already. Then a crossover ethernet cable or a hub to connect the two systems together physically. Finally, the rest is all done in the software.
