I have checked all my settings to MRoberts cheat sheet(TYVM,great job on that.)
Now hopefully someone has an answer for this one. I have set up networking of 2 MICS with MCDN and Pri enablers and centralized voicemail. I can dial from the remote site(B) to the master site (A) no problem. I get VM after 4 rings and all is hunky dorry. Site A however cannot call B. When I dial an ext for site B it opens up Dialtone??? There is no DISA set up and the systems are a mirror of each other with the exceptions of DN's, A is master, B is slave, A is ascending, b is decending etc. I am only using 7 channels of a P2P (the last 7) coming off an adtran netvanta 3000 on each side which is converting the last 7 channels into PRI. Has anyone encountered this? I am going to master site tomorrow with a T-Berd to see if I can get to the remote site bypassing the MICS and CSU. I have erased all my programming and rebuilt allready and still get the same results.I've also chaged it so B is the master and A is the slave with the exact same results. This has me beating my head against a brickwall. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Just a suggestion, I'm not being a wise guy. When you say you try to dial to the one site, and get dial tone. I'm wondering if that buildings extensions match an access code digit or a routing table digit,or voicemail extension range if you are using a fiber nam of some sort. For example builing B's extensions begin with a nine. If the access code for a pool group was nine you would most likely grab a line from the pool group. Maybe that is the reason you are drawing dial tone. Hope that helps.

Ok Group,
Here's what I found...i connected an SMDR6 to the remote MICS after going to the master site and finding the after i opened up a PRI channel, no matter what i dialed, it would return stutter DT.
I had the other tech dial to the remote site and after he terminated the call, I was recieving an "Invalid Password" in the SMCR stream. So it seened that it was looking for a COS password. None were created. I created a pass and had the tech dial the dest code plus the COS password, then dial an ext. It worked!!! At this point I changed the PRI back to T1 and reprogrammed the channels to Ans mode:Auto, Ans w/DISA:N. Reset the T1 to be PRI and programmed. Cleared the COS password. Had tech run a test and Voila all is working perfect. Message lamps work, least cost routing works, all is good in Norstar land.

Now if some could try to tell me if this was caused by the upgrade from 4.1 to 6.1, or if a release 01C DTI card (Card wasn't coming up so i swapped this on monday to a 01J with same stutter results) was the cause of the issue. The only other thing I could think of is the card was originally a T1 and the customer had changed it to PRI before we did the networking job. It wasn't used and may have been set for Ans w/DISA:Y before he changed it to PRI.

2nd dialtone is not on Profile 1 as far as I could see (both switches are Profile 1.)

Thanx for the advice all
