How do I connect a Win2000 workstation to a WinNT lapotp with a cross-over cable? I have them both set up on the same network(*.1 and *.2), but I can't map a drive to machine. I can ping both machines, but I'm too stupid to map a drive. Please help.

Make sure file and print sharing is set up on both(in network properties). Next enable the guest account in users and passwords in the control panel. Once that is done share the folder/drive you want to map to. Then you can map a drive. Any questions ask. James Collins
