We are running networker v7.6.1. Using versions 7.6.0 and lower, our Windows Sys Admins were able to access the Software Distribution Wizard in Networker to push out client updates to Windows hosts. About 3 months ago, we changed NMC to use Windows Active Directory for login to NMC/Networker, and then we upgraded networker to v7.6.1. Since these changes, when our Windows sysadmin's try to access the S/W Dist Wizard they receive access denied. All Unix sysadmins are able to access this wizard w/o issue. The Windows admins can access all other components of Networker (backup, restore, create/modify clients) just fine
NMC and Networker are both running on the same AIX 5.3 server. Working with EMC support I tried creating a seperate (UNIX) LDAP account for the Windows sys admin, with full unix admin rights, to match their rights in Active Directory, but still receive same error. Support had me try making the Windows sys admins administrators of Networker as well
Has anyone set Networker to use Active Directory for login authentication, and have all necessary cross platform administrators able to access the s/w wizard ?
