I'm at the end of my rope & I'm about to use this rope to hang the Legato tech rep that I'm working with...
I have 2 servers that were backing up on Legato just fine. Then one day... <poof> two servers will not back up anymore. When I try to run the Networker User from each client, WINWORKR.EXE executes because I can see it in the Processes list, but I do not get a GUI for Networker User.
From what I can tell (and the Legato tech rep has told me) port 7937 needs to be open in order for User to run. The problem is that I don't know how to get it to run.
I'm running 6.0 on the Legato server and I've tried using 6.0 and 6.02 on both trouble systems with the same results.
We've looked at this problem extensively in-house and have eliminiated a lot of things (double-checked DNS entries, verified port configurations, etc.)
The real mystery here is that these systems were working up until June 20 and they haven't worked since then. We had swapped out our main switch they were connected to the day they stopped, but we have gone over these connections over & over & over again.
This is really bizarre. Any help would be greatly appreciated. No offense, but we've looked at the simple things (like checking the NSR\RES\SERVERS file to make sure that the server is listed in the SERVERS file)...
Thanks for any help...
